data-driven Automotive Aftermarket Product Data Analyst

Key Responsibilities:

  • OE Data Mapping:

    Research OE product references using external web-based parts catalogs and cross-brand databases, considering Form-Fit-Function of the product; collect OE supersession details and maintain vehicle application linkage.
  • Catalog Enrichment:

    Interpret OE Product data collected, drawings, specifications, and supplier data to create complete, structured product listings in our database system.
  • Data Validation:

    Apply logical analysis to detect inconsistencies, duplicates, and fitment conflicts of our vehicle parts.
  • Process Documentation:

    Draft standard operating procedures, enrichment guides, and identify system improvement and enhancement to reach robust cataloging practices.
  • Customer support

    : Liaise with SKF Global product line team and customer support teams to clarify catalog content and drive continuous improvement.

Expected Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong mechanical automotive systems knowledge (Powertrain, chassis, driveline, wheel, sensor products, etc.) to ensure proper part categorization and attribute mapping.
  • Hands-on experience with OE external web-based parts catalogs, cataloging standards (e.g., TecDoc, ACES/PIES).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office 365 (Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint ).
  • Technical drawing interpretation skills (2D/3D).
  • Attention to detail and a structured, logical approach to validation.
  • Excellent documentation and communication abilities

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Automobile engineering/Automotive Technology, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in aftermarket cataloging, data management, or auto parts product analysis is an added advantage

Key Interfaces / Interactions in the Job:

  • Regular: Engineers, Team members, Local & Global SKF internal stakeholders, Team Lead & Product Specialist.
  • Periodic /on demand: SKF Product Line Management, Product Information Management Team, Customer Support team.
