Procurement Officer (PLC / Automation Industry)

The client is currently seeking a Procurement Officer to join their team in Khobar, Saudi Arabia. Candidates who are open to relocating to Saudi Arabia are encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate should have more than five (5) years of experience in procurement roles, with a proven track record of managing procurement processes and a strong understanding of procurement principles and industry standards. Experience in negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships is essential for this role. As the Project Buyer, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials, equipment, and services needed for projects. Your main tasks will include ensuring timely delivery of materials, adherence to budget constraints, and maintaining high-quality standards throughout the procurement process. Your responsibilities will include identifying all requirements for purchase requisitions, purchasing materials for projects under the guidance of the Project Team, providing pricing according to the Pricing Procedures, and placing purchase orders for approved suppliers in line with the Purchasing Procedures. You will also be responsible for coordinating with suppliers, evaluating quotations, establishing delivery terms, and coordinating material inspection and delivery with the Quality Team and Project Team. Additionally, you will be involved in logistics management, vendor development, and compliance. You will select and finalize logistics vendors, arrange meetings between suppliers and project management teams, and prepare various documents such as Supplier checklists, Logistics checklists, and Quotes Comparison/Approval requests. Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, keeping up to date on industry trends, and assisting in vendor development are also key aspects of this role.
