Job Description

If you are seeking a procurement assistant with computer knowledge and strong communication skills, preferably from an interior industry background, the role would emphasize experience with materials, vendors, and workflows specific to interior design, fit-outs, or furniture manufacturing.

Key Additions for Interior Industry Background:

  • Familiarity with interior materials: Experience handling procurement of wood, laminates, hardware, furnishings, veneers, glass, paints, accessories, and decor items relevant to interior projects.
  • Understanding of project timelines: Skilled in syncing material deliveries with rapid and phased interior project schedules.
  • Vendor networking: Existing contacts or a proven ability to source and negotiate with suppliers specialized in the interior industry (such as modular furniture, fixtures, and customized elements).
  • Knowledge of specifications: Able to interpret architectural drawings, BOQs (Bill of Quantities), and technical specs to ensure the right materials are ordered.

Issue Resolution: Experience resolving quality or delivery issues specific to interior finishes and customized materials.

Preferred Profile Summary:

  • Minimum 1-2 years procurement or purchase experience in the interior design, fit-out, or furniture sector.
  • Know-how of ERP systems or software tailored for project and materials management in interiors.
  • Strong vendor and material follow-up skills specific to the challenges of interior manufacturing and installation.
  • This background ensures that the procurement assistant can efficiently manage the flow of specialized materials, understand technical drawings and client needs, and proactively resolve supply challenges common in the interior industry.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Interior Design, or a related field.
  • A diploma in Interior Design, Materials Management, or Purchasing is an added advantage.

Professional Experience:

  • 1–2 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in the interior, furniture, construction, or fit-out industry.
  • Experience with material sourcing, vendor management, and project-based procurement is highly valued.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
