Job Summary

To operate and maintain the KBA Metal Star 4 printing machine effi ciently, ensuring high-quality output, minimal downtime, and adherence to safety and quality standards. The role requires strong technical skills, adaptability to varied job requirements, and coordination with the pre-press and production teams..

Key Responsibilities

● Operate and maintain KBA Metal Star 4 or similar off set printing machines.

● Handle frequent job changeovers, short runs, and unique print jobs with precision and effi ciency.

● Prepare and mount plates, manage ink and water balance, and handle diff erent substrates eff ectively.

● Troubleshoot and resolve printing issues related to registration, ink, and print consistency.

● Monitor color accuracy using CMYK color management systems and ensure correct reproduction through proper calibration.

● Work with digital workfl ows and automation systems used in large-format printing.

● Collaborate with pre-press, ink room, and management teams for smooth coordination and workfl ow.

● Ensure consistent print quality and repeatability through attention to detail and adherence to quality standards.

● Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.

● Participate in continuous learning and training to adapt to new printing technologies and processes.

Education

Diploma in Printing Technology preferred.

Experience

Experience working on KBA Metal Star 3/4 , or Experienced Printers from KBA 145 / 164 (Paper Packaging Industry) – training will be provided. Candidates with experience on KBA Mailander, Fuji, or Crabtree presses are also encouraged to apply.

Skill Requirements

● Strong understanding of sheet-fed off set printing process , plate preparation, and substrate handling.

● Profi ciency in diagnosing and resolving common press issues (registration, ink density, print balance).

● Knowledge of color theory , CMYK color spaces, and color management systems.

● Familiarity with pre-press processes and ink mixing techniques.

● Basic electrical and mechanical knowledge (advantageous).

● Awareness of safety protocols in press operation and material handling.

● Strong communication skills and ability to work eff ectively in a team environment.

● Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality and consistency.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
