Principal Software Engineer

Role Overview: You will be joining Autodesk as a Principal Software Engineer Full Stack in the Fusion Operations team. Your main focus will be on delivering innovative solutions to provide a Device Independent experience. The Fusion Operations team works on a manufacturing execution system (MES) that provides real-time data for production management, enabling users to monitor, track, report, and control various manufacturing processes. Key Responsibilities: - Engage in technical and architectural discussions to shape the future of making things - Lead planning, design, development, and testing of key features/functions - Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and build a cohesive technical strategy - Develop and maintain real-time and business-critical software with high performance and availability requirements - Conduct code reviews, evaluate implementations, and provide feedback for improvements - Uphold engineering best practices and ensure high code coverage through effective QA automation - Provide technical support to customers for complex issues - Influence technical decisions across multiple teams and work with a global engineering team - Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily scrum meetings, and backlog grooming - Support production systems through on-call rotation Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field - 10+ years of industry experience in building robust and maintainable commercial applications - Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles - Proficiency in Java and frontend development technologies like JavaScript/HTML/CSS - Knowledge of MVC, RESTful web services, MySQL databases, and cloud platforms like AWS - Experience with Docker, Agile methodologies, and Scrum framework - Excellent problem-solving skills and strong verbal and written communication in English Company Details: Autodesk is a company that helps innovators turn their ideas into reality through software solutions.
