Principal Software Development Engineer

As a Principal Software Development Engineer in Ticketing Platform Engineering at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), you will be part of a diverse team working towards building the future of cloud solutions for Enterprises. You will have the autonomy and support to excel in a dynamic and flexible workplace where your contributions are valued. - Work with senior architects and product management to define requirements - Design and implement new features - Define and guide engineering processes and procedures - Review code written by peers to ensure correctness and alignment with design principles - Operate services hosting massive data amounts - Build and improve component design/code for efficiency, performance, simplicity, scale, and resiliency - Collaborate with OCI Engineering communities - Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the team - Drive the technical strategy for product suite evolution Qualifications Required: - 10+ years of experience architecting, designing, and implementing enterprise server-side Java applications - Success in building high-volume, low-latency cloud services using Java/J2EE technologies and open-source frameworks - Experience in building secure applications with J2EE, role-based authorization, and Single Sign-On - 5+ years of experience with leading cloud platforms such as OCI, AWS, Azure - Proficiency in Infrastructure as code tools like Terraform and Ansible - Excellent communication skills and ability to adjust messages for different audiences - Strong understanding of Database systems - Preferably a Computer Science degree; advanced degree is a plus Oracle is a world leader in cloud solutions, utilizing cutting-edge technology to address current challenges across various sectors.
