Role & responsibilities J ob Title: Principal/Architect Software Developer Job Location: Remote (Base location - Chennai) Job Type: Permanent/Direct client payroll Interview Process: Pre-screening 30-minute Technical Round 30-minute Deep Technical Round 30-minute Cultural Fitment Round Final discussion with Leadership (Director of Engineering / Director of HR) Required Education and Experience: 1) Candidate must have hands on experience in product based industries (Not for service industries) 2) Hands-on experience with Typescript & NodeJS, particularly within the context of Azure Functions, is preferred. 3) Engineering degree in computer science or equivalent working experience. 4) 5+ years experience with software development and engineering. 5) 4+ years experience with hyper-scaler (Azure preferred) development, deployment, and monitoring. 6) 2+ years' experience with infrastructure-as-code tooling, preferably Terraform, in production environments. 7) Strong generalized understanding of programming data structures, design patterns, and best practices. 8) Experience with Unit Testing, Integration Testing, and CI testing automation, in production environments. 9) Experience using Git within a collaborative team environment. 10) Experience with and technical understanding of modern application containerization practices. 11) Experience integrating open-source technologies in a commercial environment is ideal. 12) Experience developing & delivering solutions for manufacturing or industrial sectors is ideal. 13) Experience developing modern UIs & dynamic data visualizations with HTML and CSS is ideal. 14) Experience working on a production SQL and/or non-relational databases at scale is ideal. Job Specifications: 1) Expertise with modern software development engineering best practices, including Agile Scrum. 2) Expertise with development and deployment to cloud hyper-scaler environments, particularly Azure. 3) Expertise in application containerization and containerization deployment technologies (e.g. Docker, k8s, etc). 4) Expertise in IoT, distributed cloud-native systems, and event-driven systems. 5) Expertise with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) development and deployment, particularly with Terraform. 6) Expertise with Typescript (preferred), JavaScript, and NodeJS with a particular emphasis on server-side or back-EDS end cloud-native application development. 7) Expertise with managing and leveraging automated deployment pipelines, CI/CD concepts, and application of testing best-practices. 8) Lead by example, foster teamwork and inspire team members to be customer and quality focused. 9) Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with diligence and accuracy. 10) Show leadership courage, challenge stakeholders as appropriate & demonstrate conflict resolution skills. 11) Take a highly ambiguous task and provide clear concise implementation details; ability to effectively organize, 12) prioritize, influence technical audience, and execute work in matrixed, complex environments. 13) Strong written and oral communication including presentation skills with ability to articulate technical solutions to a diverse audience. 14) Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships both within the team and with external stakeholders.
