Job Description

As a Principal Sales Analyst at Medtronic's Global Diabetes Capability Center in Pune, you will serve as a strategic business partner to commercial leadership. Your role will involve delivering data-driven insights to optimize sales performance, accelerate revenue growth, and enhance go-to-market effectiveness. By leveraging your deep analytical expertise and business acumen, you will lead the design and execution of advanced sales analytics, forecasting, territory planning, and performance measurement. Additionally, you will collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, finance, and operations teams to influence sales strategy and enable informed decision-making at the highest levels of the organization. As a thought leader in the field, you will mentor junior analysts, champion best practices, and ensure alignment between various functions. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain forecasting models based on sales data and other internal and external data sources - Assess the effectiveness of sales and clinical teams, propose solutions for complex challenges, and support cross-functional partners - Implement strategies for process optimization and standardization - Review department metrics with leadership to ensure consistent performance and achievement of business goals - Identify and track data for business forecasting, product utilization models, and predictive analytics - Design, produce, and maintain reports and database systems as required - Collaborate with stakeholders to define project goals, KPIs, and deliverables - Manage multiple project assignments simultaneously and use statistical tools for performance monitoring and decision-making - Develop proficiency with Salesforce, Centricity, and other programs used by the Commercial Team - Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure optimal sales execution and growth objectives attainment Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree with 9+ years of Sales, Marketing, or Project Management experience OR Advanced degree with 7+ years of relevant experience - Proficiency in SQL, Tableau, and Power BI - Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt, Black Belt, or higher) - Experience in data modeling, forecasting, and advanced technical skills (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint) - Prior experience in the Medical Device or Pharmaceutical industry - Ability to present data to leadership and executive level with attention to detail About Medtronic: Medtronic is a global healthcare technology leader dedicated to alleviating pain, restoring health, and extending life.
