About The Role

We're looking for a Staff product designer to lead our Design systems work. This isn't just about managing a Figma library. It's about building the design foundation that enables product teams to ship high-quality experiences consistently and at scale.You'll play a key role in shaping how design and engineering come together. From the way we build components to how we define our brand in product. You'll partner with designers, engineers, and PMs across teams to keep our platform fast, beautiful, and intuitive. You'll also explore how new AI tools can power our workflows.What You'll DoBuild and evolve our design system

• Own and scale SpotDraft's design system including components, tokens, grids, and interaction patterns to support complex product needs.
• Define and manage our design tokens for spacing, color, type, and motion, and collaborate with engineers to implement them across our Angular (latest version) frontend.
• Keep things in sync across design and code, including support for Storybook, Figma variables, and shared libraries.
• Turn product-specific solutions into reusable patterns that speed up the team without sacrificing quality.Work across teams to make design easier for everyone
• Help designers working on everything from workflow builders to AI contract review tools use the system in smart and scalable ways.
• Partner with engineers to improve how design gets translated to code. This includes token syncing, responsiveness, and CI/CD.
• Lead onboarding sessions, set up contribution guidelines, and support other designers in using and evolving the system.
• Align with product and design leads to shape the roadmap based on where we're heading as a company.
  

Maintain quality through good process

• Set clear standards for how the system is used and evolved, and make sure we hold ourselves to them.
• Run regular audits to catch inconsistencies or gaps and fix them before they scale.
• Keep our documentation simple, usable, and always up to date so anyone can use the system, no matter their background.
  

Explore, experiment, and stay ahead

• Stay up to date with the latest in Figma, design systems tooling, and AI-assisted design workflows.
• Partner with our AI and product teams to think about how system-level design can enable smarter, faster product development.
• Advocate for performance, accessibility, and consistency in every part of the product experience.
  

What we're looking for

• 7+ years of product design experience with deep work on design systems or shared platforms.
• A strong understanding of design tokens and how to scale systems across tools and teams.
• Advanced skills in Figma including components, variables, auto-layout, and tokens.
• A good grasp of frontend fundamentals and experience working with Angular-based systems.
• Great communication skills and the ability to work across disciplines with ease.
• A strong portfolio showing how you've led or scaled a design system in a product or SaaS environment.
• A solid understanding of accessibility, responsiveness, and performance best practices.
