The Database engineering team at Salesforce in India is looking for experienced Core Database Internal Engineers to join their team. As part of this team, you will be responsible for architecting, developing, and testing the next generation of cloud-native databases. This role offers a great opportunity for individuals with a strong background in database internals and distributed systems who are passionate about continuous innovation. - Design and develop core distributed database system functionalities. - Propose new architecture and design solutions for complex scalability challenges. - Develop comprehensive functional and system tests to ensure database quality. - Collaborate with the broader database team on integration and code reviews. - Architect, design, and implement high-quality features for the database. - Take ownership of debugging and resolving customer issues promptly. - Foster a collaborative work environment with other teams to drive innovation and delivery excellence. - 13+ years of software development experience with 4+ years specifically in database kernel development. - Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or a related field with strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems. - Proficiency in C or C++ server development; Java experience is a plus. - Prior experience working on relational database kernel development. - Proven track record of delivering innovative features for large-scale systems. - Strong communication and problem-solving skills. - Familiarity with highly-scalable and highly-available distributed systems.,
