Job Summary:

Gopalan Twinklers School is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and child-centric Principal to lead our institution with passion, innovation, and a commitment to early childhood education. The Principal will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of academic and personal development for young learners, nurturing a safe and joyful learning environment, and leading a team of dedicated educators in alignment with the vision and values of the Gopalan Foundation.

Key Responsibilities:

Academic Leadership:

• Oversee implementation of age-appropriate curriculum and ensure teaching excellence across all grades.
• Promote activity-based, experiential learning with a strong foundation in early childhood education principles.
• Monitor student progress and ensure readiness for primary education transitions.

School Operations & Administration:

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the school including academic planning, timetabling, events, and staff coordination.
• Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and regulatory standards for early childhood education.
• Coordinate with the Gopalan Foundation and administrative bodies for smooth functioning.

Faculty Management:

• Lead recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of teaching and non-teaching staff.
• Foster a nurturing, collaborative, and enthusiastic school culture among the staff.
• Facilitate continuous professional development and pedagogical growth.

Student Well-being & Development:

• Create a warm, inclusive environment focused on holistic child developmentcognitive, emotional, social, and physical.
• Ensure student safety, mental well-being, and individual attention.
• Encourage creative expression, curiosity, and foundational life skills.

Parent & Community Engagement:

• Maintain open and effective communication with parents regarding student progress, school activities, and feedback.
• Organize parent-teacher meetings, orientations, and school events.
• Build strong community ties and enhance the school's reputation and visibility.

Strategic Planning & Growth:

• Contribute to school development plans, growth strategies, and new program implementation.
• Ensure efficient resource utilization, infrastructure maintenance, and budgeting support.
• Represent the school in external forums, affiliations, and inspections.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• At least 58 years of experience in teaching and 3–5 years in a leadership role
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Empathetic, patient, and passionate about working with young children.

Desirable Attributes:

• Visionary mindset with creativity in academic and cultural programming.
• Tech-savvy with familiarity in using digital tools for administration and learning.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with parents, staff, and the management team.
