Job Title: Principal Engineer - Cloud Architect

Location: Bengaluru

Position Description:

• Coming up with technical solution leveraging the cloud infrastructure
• Design solutions that are scalable, cloud architecture compliant
• Technically lead the team to ensure on time delivery with good quality
• Inculcate effective coding practices and improve performance of team through coaching and guidance
• Collaborate with product management to understand the user needs and contribute to the design of application
• Collaborate with department architecture team to propose and review architectural solutions/designs created by self

What you will do:

• Design and implement cloud-based applications and services related to live data streaming and storage.
• Translate user needs to design inputs/ specifications and produce system/architectural level layouts and platform designs.
• Lead architecture of a complex system and guide design tradeoff decisions.
• Partnering effectively with product owners and key internal stakeholders to ascertain product requirements.
• Applying SOLID design principles and design patterns to address specific product needs.
• Practicing good engineering methodologies within an Agile development framework.
• Actively engaging in continuous learning through peer review and professional development opportunities.
• Ensuring product quality by unit test, functional, and system tests in collaboration with automation engineers.
• Creating and maintaining comprehensive data model designs.
• Lead or mentor technical team in design and development of components, sub-systems, and/or systems.
• Apply and mentor others on advanced engineering theories, principles, and concepts across various products within business unit.
• Assess and integrate new technologies and capabilities (prototyping, testing, et.al.) for the organization.
• Generate and review the necessary documents with project teams. (requirements/design/architecture/bugs/test).

Primary skills set :

• Strong backend experience around data Ingestion pipeline development. (Confluent, Kafka, Flink technologies, Data Lake, Data Warehouse)
• Programming language - Java/Kotlin, SQL/Python
• CI/CD and cloud application deployment
• Experience of architecting an application end - end (Good to have)
• Experience of working in Azure cloud.
• Experience in Power BI dashboard development (Front end technology), Angular (optional)

Secondary skill set :

• Working knowledge on AI and machine learning
