Principal Engineer - Audio Visual Systems

**Job Description:** As an Audio/Visual Consultant at WSP, you will be responsible for: - Utilizing your CTS preferred and acoustics design fundamentals knowledge - Designing background music and speaker systems with SPL, STI, and RT calculations - Validating designs through modeling tools like EASE - Designing digital signage, IPTV systems, and headend systems - Creating projector systems with line of sight calculations - Integrating AV systems for board rooms, meeting rooms, restaurant, spa, swimming pool, auditorium, conference room, ball room, etc. - Utilizing CAD, 3D Revit, Sketch-up, Rhino software for design - Integrating smart spaces and coordinating with architects, interior designers, and acoustics specialists - Designing converged network with cable management and power systems - Writing specifications and reports **Key Responsibilities:** - Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineers for seamless integration with building systems - Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and technicians - Develop and maintain project documentation, including specifications, design drawings, and operational manuals - Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and regulations related to building management systems - Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for successful project delivery **Qualifications Required:** - CTS preferred - Proficiency in acoustics design fundamentals - Experience in background music and speaker systems design - Knowledge of digital signage, IPTV systems, and headend systems - Proficiency in projector systems design and AV integration - Experience with CAD, 3D Revit, Sketch-up, Rhino software - Exposure to hospitality sector design, retail design, and master planning detailed design - Strong coordination skills with architectural, interior design, and acoustics specialists - Experience in converged network design, cable management, and power systems - Excellent written communication skills for specifications and report writing **About the Company:** WSP is a leading professional services consulting firm with a dedication to local communities and international expertise.
