Principal Emulation Verification Engineer

Role Overview: Join the Emulation Team at Ampere, a semiconductor design company focused on high-performance, energy-efficient, sustainable cloud computing. As part of the team, you will be involved in the verification of the next generation of microprocessor cores on a hardware emulation platform, contributing to the development of AmpereOne Aurora, a groundbreaking AI compute solution. Key Responsibilities: - Plan, develop, and execute test content in domains like system stress, cache coherency, and concurrency - Collaborate with design and architecture teams to identify and address failures using advanced debugging techniques - Develop high-quality emulation test plans with BareMetal and OS-based content to identify corner-case bugs - Create emulation models from RTL for running test content and integrate high-performance transactors and test bench using System Verilog, SystemC/C++, and Python - Review architecture and microarchitecture specs to influence design decisions and mentor junior team members technically - Partner with emulation vendors to resolve blocking issues in the emulation technology Qualification Required: - M.Tech in Electronics Engineering or Computer Engineering with 6+ years of semiconductor experience OR B.Tech in Electronics Engineering or Computer Engineering with 8+ years of semiconductor experience - Knowledge of Cache coherency models, memory consistency models in AArch64 and/or x86, and coherent interconnect protocols like AMBA CHI, AXI4, ACE - Experience in developing bare-metal content using C/C++ and assembly language, with ARM assembly expertise preferred - Experience with performance verification of coherent fabrics and cores, debugging failures using innovative practices, and familiarity with tools like Verdi - Working experience with emulation technology of Zebu, Palladium, or Mentor Veloce - Self-motivated engineer with a passion for innovation and out-of-the-box thinking Additional Details (if present): Omit this section as there are no additional details mentioned in the job description.,
