Principal Architect

Role & responsibilities

A. Design Leadership

• Lead Optimized design concept, schematic design, and detailed design for all Architectural projects.
• Evolving Scheme drawings with Multiple Options based on Client needs.
• Ellegent 3D Views, Walk throughs.
• Ensure designs are Functional, safe, aesthetically strong, and aligned with project budget and timelines.
• Provide high-quality architectural solutions for residential construction projects.
• Approve final design drawings, material selections, and GFC (Good for Construction) sets.

B. Construction Coordination

• Work closely with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Structural/MEP consultants.
• Review shop drawings, structural drawings, and service drawings to ensure design intent is maintained.
• Conduct regular site visits to inspect workmanship, material quality, and design compliance.
• Resolve on-site architectural issues, clashes, and construction constraints promptly.

C. Technical Expertise

• Strong knowledge of building codes, CMDA/NBC norms, local bye-laws, and construction standards.
• Expertise in materials, specifications, and technical detailing.
• Ensure quality control of all drawings and technical documents.
• Provide innovative, cost-effective, and sustainable design solutions.
• Experience in Residential buildings is preferred

D. Project Management

• Lead multiple projects simultaneously from design to completion.
• Define project scope, deliverables, timelines, and resource planning.
• Review RFIs, change requests, and monitor design-related project budgets.
• Track project progress and ensure timely delivery of design packages.

E. Client & Stakeholder Interface

• Lead client presentations and discussions.
• Understand client needs and convert them into design strategies and solutions.
• Maintain strong client relationships and handle approvals smoothly.
• Collaborate with government authorities for plan approval and statutory clearances.

F. Team Leadership

• Manage and mentor design team membersArchitects, Draftsmen, visualizers, and interns.
• Review work, conduct internal design audits, and ensure quality output.
• Build a strong, creative, and technically sound architecture team.
• Developing the design team members based on their strengths.

Preferred candidate profile

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Lumion, BIM workflows, Adobe Suite, MS Office, MS Excel and Latest software's on designing.
• Strong understanding of construction technologies, site execution methods, and technical detailing.
• Skilled in preparing tender drawings
