Pre-Press Operator

Job Description

Review and prepare customer-supplied artwork and files for printing. Ensure artwork files meet printing specifications, including bleed, resolution, color profiles, trapping, and font management. Operate pre-press software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat, and RIP software. Make necessary corrections to files, including color adjustments, resizing, and imposition. Output proofs and plates or digital files for various printing processes (offset, flexo, digital, etc.) Maintain organized records of job files and pre-press documentation. Collaborate with the design, production, and printing teams to resolve technical issues. Ensure all pre-press work is completed accurately and on time. Perform routine maintenance and calibration of pre-press equipment. Stay updated with industry software and printing process trends.
