Amazon is looking for a talented, strategic and creative individual to communicate our position on policy issues and economic impact in India. This role will suit an exceptional communicator with experience in media relations and building relationships with opinion leaders, and an understanding of how communications shapes the economic policy environment.
Key job responsibilitiesWorking as part of India PR team, you will be responsible for rolling out public campaigns that bring to life Amazon's policy positions, with a particular focus on economic regulation and the positive impacts of Amazon's businesses for customers and sellers in the highly competitive retail sector. This includes:. Developing communications strategies on priority economic policy issues in alignment with multiple internal stakeholders.. Translating complex economic policy topics into compelling speaking points, blog posts, opinion pieces, video scripts, research proposals and other communications assets.. Building excellent relationships with opinion leaders including trade associations, academia and civil society groups.
- 5+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Extremely high judgment and standards, particularly in narrow timeframes.
- Ability to think and communicate clearly - formulating a clear point of view on complicated issues and creating a concise and well-written narrative to express it.- Willingness to roll up sleeves and get work done, even when at times it's outside the scope of the job.- Experience working across diverse geographies with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
