PPC Manager

Qualification / Experience

B.E. / B.Tech Mechanical Engineering
(Preferred: Post Graduate Diploma in Operations / Supply Chain or Certification in Production Planning)

Experience :

10-12 years of experience in PPC or related functions in capital equipment / project-based manufacturing industries

KSA:

• In-depth understanding of BOM, routing, SJO system, and ERP tools (IMMS or similar)
• Clear knowledge of manufacturing process flows, outsourcing, material planning, and costing
• Hands-on experience with MIS, productivity, costing, and SEPP file maintenance
• Familiarity with project-based production and cost control

Job Skills :

• Strong coordination and communication with purchase, stores, design, and production
• Effective forecasting and SJO creation/review
• Data analysis and MIS reporting for productivity, costing, and process tracking
• Ability to lead team and troubleshoot bottlenecks in production
• Training and upskilling team members
• Drive for process improvement and elimination of non-value-adding activities

Roles & Responsibilities:

Job Purpose :

To lead the PPC function by driving effective planning, scheduling, and coordination across departments for timely and cost-efficient production, while supporting operational improvements and team development.

Job Duties / Responsibilities :

• Follow up with Purchase for Bought Out and Heavy Duty (HD) shortages
• Coordinate with Outsourcing partners for semi-finished component availability
• Liaison with RM Store for timely RM cutting
• Expedite delays in manufacturing vs. planned timelines
• Prepare and maintain MIS for productivity tracking
• Update and manage SEPP file for planning reference
• Maintain MIS for extra issue materials and CCN (Change Control Note) made
• Forecast semi-finished components and update planning sheets
• Review and create forecast SJO to align with production plan
• Prepare manufacturing costing reports (labor + consumables)
• Follow up with Purchase team on RM shortages
• Collaborate with Design & Production for Jig & Fixture development
• Eliminate obsolete processes in design-development and implement value-added practices
• Lead production schedule reviews and inter-department coordination for timeline adherence
• Plan overall production schedules, ensuring on-time delivery and optimal productivity
• Identify bottlenecks and apply troubleshooting techniques to resolve issues
• Identify training needs of PPC team and conduct learning sessions for skill improvement
