Power System Engineer

You will be responsible for analyzing software, electrical design, network architectures, load flow analysis, and protective device coordination. Your role will involve assessing power systems and devising solutions to address any issues that may arise. Additionally, you will be required to oversee staff and manage multiple clients or projects efficiently. As a specialist in power systems, you will work extensively with computational power systems, including power flow, optimal flow, state estimation, short circuit analysis, transient stability, UC/SCUC/SCED, Economic Dispatch, and Security Analysis. It is essential that you have hands-on experience in C\C++ and proficiency in SQL and .Net. Expertise in applications programming using C++ for functions like UC/ED/Optimization would be advantageous. Familiarity with the PSSE tool and knowledge of transmission studies are crucial for this role. Experience with software change control processes is also expected. An exceptional understanding of Computer Science fundamentals, such as basic algorithms and data structures (including sorting, searching, graph algorithms, trees, graphs, etc.), would be a valuable asset.
