Power Platform Capability Lead

Position Summary:

The Power Platform Capability Lead plays a pivotal role in shaping, driving, and evolving the organisations low-code/no code transformation journey. This leader will work closely with the Centre of Excellence (COE) to articulate and execute the overall vision and strategy for the Power Platform, ensuring seamless integration of new technologies and fostering a vibrant, best-practice-driven community of citizen developers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Support & Thought Leadership: Collaborate with the COE lead to define and promote the organisations low code/no-code vision, acting as an ambassador for the Power Platform both internally and externally.
• Capability Definition & Development: Identify, establish, and continually refine the essential capabilities required for Power Platform excellence. Oversee the development and ongoing optimisation of these capabilities to support evolving business needs.
• Governance & Framework Design: Lead the definition and implementation of governance models, processes, organisational structures, skillsets, and technological frameworks to enable robust Power Platform capability.
• Education & Enablement: Design, develop, and own educational materials and enablement programmes to enhance understanding and adoption of the Power Platform across the organisation.
• Technology Scouting: Remain at the forefront of emerging Power Platform technologies, assessing new tools and approaches and ensuring their evaluation and, where appropriate, adoption.
• Best Practice Implementation: Champion the adoption of industry-leading methodologies, guidelines, and standards related to Power Platform development and operations.
• COE-Wide Technology Consideration: Ensure that all low-code/no-code use cases are evaluated in the context of COE wide technology strategy, guaranteeing alignment and compatibility across the portfolio.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Power Platform Technologies: Deep expertise in Power Platform componentsincluding Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Dataverse.
• Frameworks, Concepts & Best Practices: In-depth understanding of Power Platform frameworks, governance, solution architecture, and integration best practices.
• Operating Model Capabilities: Experience designing and implementing operating models that support scalable, sustainable low-code/no-code enablement and opportunity creation.
• Vision & Strategy: Ability to shape and communicate a clear, forward-thinking vision for Power Platform adoption and evolution within the organisation.
• Opportunity Creation: Proven track record of identifying and cultivating opportunities for low-code/no-code solutions that deliver measurable business value.
• Enablement: Experience in developing enablement programmes for technical and non-technical audiences, driving platform adoption and skill growth.

• Proven background in leading technology initiatives, ideally in a COE or similar strategic setting.
