Power BI / Metabase Dashboard Developer

You are a talented Power BI / Metabase Dashboard Developer with 34 years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence dashboards and reports. Your expertise lies in data visualization, SQL, and business analytics, and you have a proven track record of delivering dashboards that contribute to crucial business decisions. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI or Metabase. You will collaborate closely with business teams to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring that the dashboards align perfectly with the business needs. Writing and optimizing SQL queries to extract and transform data for reporting will be a key part of your role. Creating data models, establishing relationships, and defining measures for accurate visualizations will also be essential tasks. Ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and performance of the dashboards, implementing row-level security, filters, and drill-throughs in reports, as well as automating refresh schedules and monitoring data pipelines for dashboards will all fall under your purview. You will work with cross-functional teams to integrate dashboards with other systems and provide user training and documentation to guarantee effective adoption of the dashboards. Additionally, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and promptly resolving any data or dashboard issues that may arise. In terms of qualifications, you must possess 3-4 years of proven experience in Power BI and/or Metabase. Strong SQL skills including joins, subqueries, CTEs, and window functions are a must. Hands-on experience with data modeling and ETL concepts is also required. Knowledge of DAX (for Power BI) and custom queries (for Metabase), familiarity with data warehouses and relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server, as well as a solid understanding of data visualization principles and best practices are essential. Experience in performance tuning of dashboards and queries, familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP (an added advantage), excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills are also key qualifications. Any knowledge of Python/R for data analytics, exposure to BI integration with CRM/ERP systems, and certification in Power BI or similar BI tools will be considered good to have.,
