**Position Overview: **

We are seeking a skilled and experienced BI Team Lead to oversee and guide our Business Intelligence team. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on expertise in advanced SQL, Power BI, DAX queries, data modeling, and star schema design. They should have experience with databases such as GCP BigQuery, MySQL, and Azure SQL Server. This role involves leading a team, managing client and stakeholder relationships, and driving BI initiatives using Agile methodologies.

Should be willing to work from Office and in US Time (~4PM to 3AM)

**Key Responsibilities: **

- **Client and Stakeholder Management:**

- Act as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, managing expectations and ensuring alignment with BI project goals.

- Gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into technical solutions and BI deliverables.

- **Database Management:**

- Work on one of these databases - GCP Big Query, MySQL, and Azure SQL Server, to manage and integrate data sources.

- Ensure data integrity and performance across different database platforms.

- **Technical Expertise:**

- Develop and optimize advanced SQL queries for complex data extraction and analysis.

- Design and implement Power BI dashboards and reports, utilizing DAX queries for advanced calculations and data manipulation.

- Create and maintain star schema data models to ensure effective data organization and reporting.

- Implement and manage incremental data refreshes to optimize performance and data accuracy.

- **Agile Methodology and Jira Ticketing:**

- Lead BI projects using Agile methodologies, facilitating sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

- Utilize Jira for tracking project progress, managing tasks, and ensuring timely resolution of issues.

- **Strategic Planning and Reporting:**

- Develop and implement BI strategies that align with organizational goals and drive business value.

- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on project status, team performance, and BI outcomes.

- **Team Leadership and Management:**

- Lead and mentor a team of BI developers and analysts, providing guidance and support in their professional development.

- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the BI team, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of BI solutions.

- Manage team performance, conduct regular performance reviews, and implement strategies for continuous improvement

**Required Qualifications:**

- **Education and Experience:**

- Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.

- 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, with at least 2 years in a team lead or managerial role.

- **Technical Skills:**

- Proficiency in advanced SQL querying and database management.

- Expertise in Power BI, including experience with DAX queries and report/dashboard development.

- Strong understanding of data modeling concepts, including star schema design and incremental refresh techniques.

- Hands-on experience with databases such as GCP BigQuery, MySQL, and Azure SQL Server.

- **Management Skills:**

- Proven experience in client and stakeholder management.

- Strong leadership abilities, with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.

- Experience with Agile methodologies and Jira ticketing for project management.

- **Soft Skills:**

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients and team members.

- Strong problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

- Certification in Power BI or relevant BI tools.

- Experience with additional BI and data visualization tools.

- Familiarity with other project management tools and methodologies.
