Job Description

Job Purpose

The Power Platform Administrator will be responsible for the administration, configuration, and support of the Microsoft Power Platform suite, including Power BI, Power Apps and Power Automate. This role will focus on being a knowledgeable resource to administer and configure the Power Platform environment for optimal performance and security.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams to ensure the effective use and maintenance of Power Platform.

Core Responsibilities

  • Administer and configure the Power Platform environment for optimal performance and security.
  • Manage environments, gateways,user licensing, and capacity using the Power Platform admin centre.
  • Monitor the performance and usage of Dataverse environments, including optimizing data models, monitoring resource utilization, and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
  • Enforce data loss prevention (DLP) policies to safeguard data and maintain corporate compliance.
  • Monitor capacity performance and identify optimization opportunities.
  • Resolve issues related to data refresh failures, report rendering, and query performance.
  • Offer technical support and troubleshooting assistance to users encountering Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate issues.
  • Conduct regular system audits and health checks to pre-emptively address potential issues.
  • Stay up to date with the latest features and updates, recommending adoption where appropriate.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including user guides and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Help define and implement governance standards for Power Platform to ensure consistent and compliant use across the organization.
  • Work collaboratively and create a trusted partner data relationship with a business area across the Group.
  • Maintain the company's compliance standards and ensure timely completion of all mandatory on-line training modules and attestations.

Experience Requirements

  • 2+ years ofrelevantexperience as Power BI Administrator managing Power BI Admin Portal.
  • Experience with Power Platform Center of Excellence (CoE) kit.
  • Proficiency in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and Power Query.
  • Understanding of data modelling concepts, DAX language, and M query language
  • Two years experience of implementing processes and procedures around data and information management is desirable.

Knowledge Requirements

  • Strong experience in BI and reporting activities and principles are essential.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of data tools landscapes
  • Experience with DLP policies, user licensing, and capacity management.

Skill and Competency Requirements

  • Proven passion for data is essential and a strong drive for results is essential.
  • Good interpersonal, influencing and relationship management skills is essential

Required Qualifications/Certifications

  • Bachelors degree Engineering or Technical degree course.
  • Power BI and Power Platform certification/qualification is desirable
