Job Summary Responsible for overseeing all aspects of the powder coating process within an electronics manufacturing environment, from surface pre-treatment to final inspection. The role ensures coating quality, optimizes production efficiency, maintains safety standards, and supports continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities

• Process Management: Lead and supervise the powder coating team and daily operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to production schedules.
• Surface Preparation: Oversee the pre-treatment process, including cleaning, degreasing, derusting, and chemical treatments (e.g., phosphating), to ensure optimal adhesion and finish quality.
• Coating Application & Curing: Operate and maintain electrostatic spray deposition (ESD) equipment and curing ovens. Monitor process parameters such as coating thickness, temperature, and humidity.
• Quality Control: Develop and implement inspection plans for powder coating operations. Conduct in-process and final inspections using relevant instruments to verify gloss, adhesion (e.g., ISO 2409), curing, and dimensional accuracy.
• Problem Solving & Improvement: Investigate and analyze root causes of quality discrepancies or defects, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizens) to enhance process capability and reduce waste.
• Documentation & Reporting: Prepare and maintain detailed inspection reports, test records, and audit documentation. Manage material consumption records and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, environmental regulations, and proper chemical handling practices (e.g., MSDS/TDS knowledge) applicable to industrial coating environments.
• Collaboration: Coordinate with production, maintenance, and quality teams, and support customer audits and inspections.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Production Engineering.
• Experience: 2-8 years of hands-on experience in a paint shop/powder coating environment, preferably within the electronics, automotive, or sheet metal manufacturing industries.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of various types of coatings (epoxy, polyester, PU paint), surface preparation methods, and equipment maintenance.
• Standards: Familiarity with international coating standards such as ISO 8501, ASTM, SSPC, NACE, and relevant quality management systems (e.g., ISO).
• Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to read engineering drawings/BOMs, leadership capabilities, and attention to detail.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
