Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain PostgreSQL databases and schemas.
Write optimized SQL queries, functions, triggers, and stored procedures.
Perform database tuning, performance optimization, and query analysis.
Ensure data integrity, security, and availability across systems.
Develop and maintain ETL processes and data pipelines.
Collaborate with backend developers and DevOps teams for seamless integration.
Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues proactively.
Implement backup, recovery, and disaster-recovery solutions.
Maintain documentation related to databases, processes, and standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Proven experience working with PostgreSQL (2+ years preferred).
Strong understanding of SQL, query optimization, and indexing strategies.
Experience with PL/pgSQL (functions, triggers, stored procedures).
Knowledge of database design principles, normalization, and best practices.
Experience in data modeling, ETL, and data warehousing concepts.
Familiarity with version control systems (Git preferred).
Understanding of Linux environments and command-line tools.
Ability to troubleshoot complex database performance issues.

Good to Have

Experience with PostgreSQL extensions (PostGIS, TimescaleDB, etc.).
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS RDS, Azure PostgreSQL, GCP Cloud SQL).
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or CI/CD pipelines.
Knowledge of Python, Java, or backend languages for API integration.
Familiarity with data lakes, big data, or other relational databases.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to ₹700,000.00 per year
