Job Description PMO (Design) – Automotive Domain

Manage and support design-related projects ensuring alignment with project timelines, technical requirements, and organizational objectives.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams such as design, engineering, manufacturing, and program management to deliver design outcomes efficiently.

Plan, track, and report design project activities, milestones, and deliverables.

Define project scope, schedules, and resource requirements in collaboration with stakeholders.

Manage design documentation, version control, and change management processes.

Facilitate design review meetings, track action items, and ensure timely closure.

Prepare dashboards, KPIs, and project reports for management and leadership.

Coordinate with suppliers and external partners for design deliverables.

Ensure compliance with automotive standards, regulations, and internal quality requirements.

Drive process improvements within the design and development functions to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Standard Operating Procedures (SOP): Establish project scope, objectives, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Develop detailed design schedules and assign responsibilities to teams while ensuring cost efficiency. Track project milestones and budget consumption weekly and update dashboards regularly.

Conduct regular design reviews to assess technical compliance and progress.

Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or related engineering field. Minimum 3 years of experience in PMO or project management roles within the automotive or manufacturing sector. Strong understanding of automotive product design and development processes. Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Jira, or equivalent) and PLM/PDM systems. Familiarity with APQP, DFMEA, PPAP, and other automotive quality standards. Excellent communication, coordination, and analytical skills.
