The Platform / AI Engineer will be responsible for building and operating asynchronous backend workers and cloud-native job pipelines using Python. The role involves implementing scalable video transcoding and metadata extraction workflows, integrating managed generative AI services for content creation and enrichment, and enforcing platform-level safeguards such as usage quotas and safety checks. The individual will focus on reliability, performance, cost efficiency, and secure operation of AI-enabled platform components.
Build and maintain asynchronous worker services using Python for background processing
Develop and operate cloud-native job pipelines for video transcoding and metadata extraction
Integrate managed generative AI services for content creation, captioning, and labeling workflows
Implement and enforce usage quotas, rate limits, and safety checks using caching and control mechanisms
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize performance, scalability, and cost of platform workloads
