Position Overview:

The Plant Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire operations of the

Automatic Mould Making Unit. This includes production planning, manpower

management, equipment maintenance, quality control, cost optimization, and

ensuring timely delivery of moulds as per design specifications. The role requires

strong technical knowledge of mould-making machinery, automation processes, and

precision manufacturing standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production & Operations Management

• Plan, organize, and control daily production activities to meet targets and deadlines.
• Ensure optimum utilization of machinery, tools, and manpower.
• Oversee automatic moulding machines, CNC machining centers, and related processes.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing and 5S practices for continuous improvement.

2. Quality & Process Control

• Maintain high standards of accuracy and surface finish in moulds.
• Monitor inspection processes and ensure adherence to ISO/quality standards.
• Coordinate with the design and R&D team for prototype and new mould development.

3. Maintenance & Equipment Management

• Ensure regular preventive maintenance of machines and tools.
• Minimize downtime through effective troubleshooting and maintenance planning.
• Coordinate with vendors for machine servicing, spare procurement, and upgrades.

4. Team Leadership & HR Coordination

• Lead, train, and motivate production supervisors, operators, and technicians.
• Ensure discipline, safety, and adherence to company policies on the shop floor.
• Plan shifts and allocate resources efficiently.

5. Cost & Inventory Management

• Control raw material consumption and reduce waste.
• Monitor production costs and identify areas for cost optimization.
• Maintain inventory of consumables, tools, and spares within approved limits.

6. Reporting & Coordination

• Submit daily/weekly production and efficiency reports to management.
• Collaborate with purchase, design, and dispatch teams for smooth workflow.
• Participate in management review meetings and suggest process improvements.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelors degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering.
• Minimum

  8- 12 years

  of experience in mould manufacturing (preferably in automatic moulding units).
• Strong understanding of CNC machining, EDM, VMC, and tool design principles.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software will be an added advantage.
• Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
