Job Description

The Multi-skilled Technician is responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing plant machinery, plumbing systems, and mechanical equipment. This role supports the efficient and safe functioning of all facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Plant & Machinery Operations:

Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of plant equipment.
Monitor and adjust operations to maintain productivity and safety.
Record operational data and report issues promptly.

Plumbing:

Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems and fixtures.
Inspect systems regularly and resolve issues to ensure compliance with safety standards.
Collaborate on plumbing upgrades and improvement projects.

Mechanical Maintenance:

Diagnose and repair faults in machinery (e.g., motors, pumps, conveyors).
Perform preventive maintenance and replace worn parts.
Fabricate and install mechanical components as needed.
Maintain accurate maintenance logs.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
Experience in plant machinery, plumbing, and mechanical maintenance.
Knowledge of safety standards and technical documentation.
Good problem-solving skills and physical fitness for manual tasks.
Team player with effective communication skills.

Skills:

Operation and maintenance of heavy machinery.
Plumbing system knowledge and repair expertise.
Mechanical troubleshooting and repair competence.
Skilled with hand and power tools.
Basic computer literacy for maintenance records.
