Job Summary:

The Plant Buyer will be responsible for procuring raw materials, components, and services required for plant operations. The role involves managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining cost efficiency to support production goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source and procure raw materials, components, and services as per plant requirements.
  
• Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts with suppliers to secure competitive rates and favorable terms.
  
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to understand material specifications and requirements.
  
• Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, and quality compliance.
  
• Manage purchase orders, contracts, and procurement documentation in ERP systems.
  
• Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and inventory levels.
  
• Identify and qualify new suppliers to mitigate risks and optimize the supply base.
  
• Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
  
• Support cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives within procurement.
  
• Resolve procurement-related issues and supplier disputes in a timely manner.
