Job Responsibilities:
1.Responsible and accountable for development, and/or communication and implementation of a local or regional purchasing strategy
2.Do BOM /Non-BOM purchase plan and release purchase order according to production plan, inventory targets or item demand or PR and do communication and implementation of purchase strategy.
3.Manage and optimize supplier delivery performance.
4.Maintain master data setup for items in AX system
5.Control inventory levels, by managing supplies, to increase inventory turnover ratio as well as to minimize stock outs and obsolescence
6.Secure the success for all new acquired business in terms of timing, quality and commercial items for all bought in part
7.Backup master planner for daily customer order management and production status follow-up when necessary
Skills required for the position:
1.Minimum bachelor degree or above, education in relevant major
2.Minimum 6 years of relevant job experience, especially in purchasing/planning/supply chain management.
3.Fluent in both English and Tamil
4.Proven problem solving skills are important in order to identify need and provide suitable solution. An independent problem resolving capability in work and team spirit is required.
5.Effective communication skills and sound judgment is required
6.ERP experience is a must
7.Personal computer skills and familiarity with office software packages
