Planning Engineer

Location:

Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed

  baseline schedules

  , work breakdown structure (

  WBS

  ), and planning methodologies for EPC projects.
• Track and monitor project progress using

  Primavera P6 / MS Project

  .
• Ensure proper alignment of planning with

  engineering, procurement, and construction

  cycles (EPC model).
• Prepare and review

  weekly/monthly schedules

  , look-ahead plans, and resource deployment plans.
• Monitor

  critical path

  , project milestones, and identify schedule deviations.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and site execution teams for

  progress updates

  , material status, and workflow planning.
• Prepare

  S-curves

  , productivity analysis, progress dashboards, manpower histograms, and utilization reports.
• Analyze risks, delays, constraints, and propose

  recovery/mitigation plans

  .
• Support management with

  cost control

  , budgeting, and project forecasting.
• Prepare documentation for client meetings including

  progress reports, dashboards, and schedule presentations

  .
• Ensure compliance with

  EPC planning standards

  , contractual timelines, and project KPIs.
• Coordinate with procurement teams to track

  material delivery schedules

  , vendor timelines, and equipment mobilization plans.

Requirements

• 3–8 years of experience as a

  Planning Engineer

  in building / commercial EPC projects.
• Strong knowledge of

  Primavera P6

  , MS Project, planning methodologies, and project management tools.
• Good understanding of construction sequencing, site operations, and EPC project lifecycle.
  
• Strong analytical, documentation, and coordination skills.
