Job Description

Ensure that the manufacturing requirements are accurately predicted and manufacturing (materials)are available as per the inputs received from the Sales & Marketing and Projects teams
Interact with operating units, research and development units, finance, and other key departments within the organization to capture forecasts, production plans, inventory plans, capacity and other key data as required for development of the Production Plan
Provide inputs for development of the production plan in coordination with Head Manufacturing, Unit Heads, Lead- Unit Heads, Sourcing & Vendor Development teams and Inventory, Stores & Logistics teams , and any other related departments
Prepare master schedule in consultation with Lead Manufacturing to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders
Analyse sales orders received to estimate material, (tool and human resource requirements to ensure delivery as per scheduled timelines) this may e with lead production
Coordinate with the R&D team to ensure technical drawings for projects are prepared in a timely manner
Constantly review production progress and flag deviation to Manufacturing, Sales Heads and Projects Heads
Suggest reprioritization of production schedules as per requirements
Keep a track of order pipeline / production pipeline and identify risks that can impact production, Sourcing & Vendor Development and other related departments and develop mitigation plans based on risk and vulnerability analyses
Closely coordinate with Inventory Management and Sourcing on matters pertaining to maintaining level of inventories to ensure smooth production
Provide Head / Unit Head – Manufacturing and Lead – Manufacturing with a work schedule and ensure that all the resources needed to complete the schedule are available
Oversee documentation of all material requisitions, delivery schedules, resource utilization reports, etc.( this may be with lead production)
Analyse capacity and undertake capacity planning to determine if the resources available are sufficient to meet demand
Analyse daily and monthly MIS reports for the department to measure performance and present findings to Head / Unit Head- Manufacturing
Monitor and analyse operational data related to production, operation of plant & machinery to identify opportunities for streamlining the existing production process , raw material procurement or other related activities and present findings to Head / Unit Head – Manufacturing
