PKMS Developer

We are seeking an experienced Manhattan PKMS Developer to support and enhance our Warehouse Management System (WMS) environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining technical solutions within Manhattan Associates PKMS platform (WMOS or older versions), enabling efficient and accurate warehouse and distribution operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain custom solutions, interfaces, and reports in the Manhattan PKMS (WMS) environment.
• Collaborate with business analysts and warehouse operations teams to gather requirements and implement system enhancements.
• Customize Manhattan WMS processes using RPG, COBOL, or proprietary scripting tools (based on version).
• Develop and support integrations between WMS and ERP, TMS, EDI, and other internal/external systems.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues related to warehouse processes, RF devices, labeling, shipping, and inventory movements.
• Perform impact analysis and support regression testing for new releases, patches, and enhancements.
• Ensure WMS configurations align with warehouse layout, operational flow, and inventory strategies.
• Maintain technical documentation including solution designs, test cases, deployment notes, and support procedures.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and provide support for 24/7 warehouse operations as needed.
• Provide L2 support for Manhattan PKMS/WMS applications.
• Troubleshoot WMS issues related to order flow, RF devices, shipping, receiving, etc.
• Monitor system performance and batch jobs.
• Collaborate with DC operations and IT teams for issue resolution.
• Participate in warehouse process improvements or minor enhancements.
• Experience with Manhattan PKMS or WMi/WMoS.
• Knowledge of warehouse processes and RF systems.
• Familiarity with AS/400 or iSeries (for PKMS environments).
• SQL knowledge for database queries and log analysis.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 4+ years of hands-on experience with Manhattan Associates’ PKMS (WMS), WMOS, or WM Active platform.
• Strong programming experience in iSeries/AS400 (RPG, CL, COBOL) and/or Java-based WMOS environments.
• Solid understanding of warehouse operations, including receiving, putaway, picking, packing, and shipping.
• Experience with integration protocols (e.g., EDI, FTP, MQ, APIs) and ERP systems (e.g., Oracle and JD Edwards).
• Knowledge of RF device configuration and label printing standards (ZPL, Bartender).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Exposure to Oracle Cloud (Fusion) modules is a plus.
• Experience with Manhattan Active WMS or WMOS 2016+ versions.
• Experience in a high-volume retail or e-commerce warehouse environment.
• Familiarity with SQL, XML, and scripting languages for automation.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and DevOps tools for deployment and version control.
• Experience in retail, manufacturing, or distribution environments.
• Experience in Agile or DevOps environments.
• Prior experience in performance tuning and large data set processing.
