Job Description

Position Name - Piping Stress Engineer Education - B.Tech / B.E :- Mechanical Experience - 6-10 Years Flexibility Analysis of Boiler integral piping (Downcomer, feeder, riser, transfer pipes, soot blower pipes, Drains, Vents, safety valve exhausts etc) Flexibility Analysis of Power Cycle Piping Main steam, Cold Reheat, Hot Reheat, HP/LP Bypass piping, Boiler Feedwater piping, Spray water piping etc. Flexibility Analysis of Power Plant auxiliary piping systems Selection of various types of pipe supports, Initiate, Control and the preparation of specification for pipe hangers and supports Review of vendor offers and provide technical clearance for hangers & supports Approval of vendor drawings & documents for hangers & supports Review & Checking of the Critical piping 3D model, isometric drawings and support drawings for Boiler integral piping, Main steam, Cold & Hot Reheat piping, Feed water piping etc from stress analysis and functionality perspective. Preparing stress reports for customer submission, 3rd party approval, Providing inputs to piping design team (stress isos, support datasheets) Providing input to steel structure engineer for the support point load data Conducting site audits to confirm compliance of piping installation with design drawings Independently interface with internal and external customers and vendors in connection with piping system engineering and documentation Attending Customer / Consultant queries regarding piping engineering Design reviews Disposal of shop / site feedbacks, Non conformances, supplier change requests related to piping supports Other Requirements CAESAR-II software skills / Other piping flexibility analysis tool skills. 3D Model review tools (Cadmatic/E3D/Navisworks/Trimble connect, AutoCAD) Excellent spoken and written English communication skills Co-operation capabilities in global organization Proactive approach to work with high ownership and responsibility of results Systematic and proactive approach and attention to details Problem solving attitude High personal integrity and ethical standards Ability to work independently and collaborative with team members Cost optimization / Value engineering/trouble shooting
