Piping Lead

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Lead Piping Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of piping systems in various projects. This role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and leading a team of engineers to achieve project objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Management:

• Lead the planning, design, and execution of projects.
• Coordinate with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Adhere project schedules, budgets, and manage resources.

2. Design and Engineering:

• Lead in equipment layout preparation.
• Create and review piping design documents, drawings, and specifications.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant codes and standards and statutory compliance.

3. Team Leadership:

• Supervise, mentor, and guide a team of piping engineers and designers.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide training and development opportunities.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.

4. Quality Assurance:

• Implement and maintain quality control procedures.
• Conduct inspections and audits to ensure adherence to project specifications and industry standards.
• Resolve technical issues and recommend improvements.

5. Client and Vendor Interaction:

• Liaise with clients to understand project requirements and provide technical support.
• Manage relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Review and approve vendor documentation and drawings.

6. Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE):

• Ensure all piping activities comply with HSE regulations.
• Promote a safety-first culture within the team.
• Participate in HSE audits and risk assessments.

Qualifications:

• Education:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in piping engineering, with at least 3 years in a lead or supervisory role.
• Extensive experience with piping design software (e.g., AutoCAD, E2D,).

• Skills:

• Strong leadership and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• In-depth knowledge of piping materials, fabrication, and installation techniques.
• Proficiency in industry codes and standards

• Other Requirements:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
