Key Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain detailed piping layouts and designs in alignment with project specifications. - Collaborate with process, mechanical, and other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated designs. - Conduct site visits and surveys to understand existing conditions and constraints. - Utilize 3D modeling software to create accurate and efficient piping layouts. - Perform clash detection and resolution between piping systems and other structures. - Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality assurance procedures. - Prepare documentation, reports, and presentations related to piping layouts. - Participate in design reviews and provide technical support to project teams. - Assist with coordination of piping activities during construction and commissioning phases. Skills and Tools Required: - Strong knowledge of piping design principles and practices. - Proficiency in 3D modeling software such as AutoCAD, Plant 3D, or PDS. - Familiarity with relevant industry codes and standards (e.g., ASME, ANSI, ISO). - Experience with clash detection tools and coordination processes. - Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Attention to detail and a commitment to quality work. - Experience with project management software and tools is a plus. Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. - A minimum of 3 years of experience in piping layout design in the oil and gas, petrochemical, or related industries. - Familiarity with fabrication and installation practices is advantageous.
