Conduct physical examinations, diagnose and treat illnesses, order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and develop treatment plans
Provide counseling on preventive healthcare measures
Work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
Consult with specialists, refer patients to other healthcare providers, and participate in multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures
Provide counseling on lifestyle modifications, such as diet and exercise, to improve overall health
Collaborate with emergency medicine physicians and other healthcare providers to stabilize patients and initiate life-saving interventions
Stay current with advances in medicine and maintain licensure, PAs participate in continuing education activities, attend conferences, and pursue additional certifications in specialized areas of practice.
