Physical Design Technical Competency Lead

As a Technical Competency Lead (Physical Design) at Aion Silicon, you will play a crucial role in defining, evolving, and championing global Physical Design (PD) methodologies and strategy for world-class ASICs. Your expertise and technical authority will shape how ASICs are designed, implemented, and delivered efficiently and consistently across engineering teams worldwide. **Key Responsibilities:** - Define, implement, and maintain Physical Design strategies, methodologies, and reference flows. - Promote a customer-first approach through effective communication and reliable delivery. - Drive innovation by implementing scalable workflows, automation, and best practice frameworks. - Establish strong relationships with EDA & IP vendors to evaluate and deploy top-notch tools. - Provide high-quality documentation, training, and technical enablement for design teams. - Continuously improve design methodology by gathering insights from technical and project leadership. - Collaborate with internal and external partners to integrate advanced techniques and IPs. - Present technical white papers and support technical sales engagements as required. - Offer expert guidance, peer reviews, and issue resolution on complex customer projects. - Ensure alignment between project execution and the overarching technical strategy. **Qualifications Required:** - A relevant engineering degree. - Minimum of 10 years" experience in the semiconductor industry. - Extensive experience in top-level (full-chip) Physical Design, including P&R, integration, timing closure, and sign-off. - Demonstrated capability in developing, rolling out, and maintaining PD methodologies and training. - Strong background in working with EDA tool vendors and managing tool adoption/optimization. - Ability to effectively communicate complex PD topics to both technical and non-technical audiences. - Proficient in writing and maintaining high-quality technical documentation. - Proven track record of guiding, mentoring, and upskilling engineering teams.
