PHP application To Node.js microservices Professional

PHP application into a Node.js backend with React frontend and microservices architecture. You will collaborate with senior engineers and architects to design, develop, and deliver scalable, maintainable, and performant systems.

Key Responsibilities

Contribute to migrating features from a legacy PHP application to Node.js microservices.Develop user interfaces using React.js following best practices and modern standards.Build, test, and deploy scalable RESTful / GraphQL APIs.Work with databases (MySQL / PostgreSQL / MongoDB) ensuring smooth migration of data models.Collaborate with DevOps teams to containerize services using Docker and deploy on cloud platforms.Write clean, maintainable, and testable code with proper documentation.Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and daily standups in an Agile environment.

Mandatory Skill Set (Must-Have)

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+).Backend development with Node.js & Express.js (or similar frameworks).
• Frontend development with React.js (Hooks, functional components, state management Redux or Context API).
• Understanding of microservices architecture and inter-service communication (REST/GraphQL, message queues).
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) including schema design and queries.
• Familiarity with version control (Git) and Agile development practices.
• Experience with unit testing / integration testing (Jest, Mocha, etc.).Good understanding of API design and error handling.

Good to Have (Preferred Skills

• Experience in PHP (to understand and migrate legacy code).Exposure to containerization & deployment (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).Knowledge of NoSQL databases (MongoDB/Redis).
• Basic understanding of security best practices (JWT, OAuth, HTTPS, data validation).
• Experience using AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or ChatGPT to improve productivity and code quality.
