Phlebotomist

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.The Phlebotomy department provides a venepuncture service on behalf of all services within the Acute division of Greater Glasgow and Clyde.The phlebotomy service is part of the south sector.You will be responsible for the delivery of phlebotomy service to wards within the Acute division in Gartnavel General Hospital, thus ensuring target times are met and adhered to for the delivery of blood specimens to the laboratories.You should have a good standard of education, good communication skills and good time management skills.The hours of this post will be between 7am - 12am Monday to Friday.Weekend working is not expected for this post, but but contract will be over 5/7 days to allow flexibility if service requires.Informal contact: Pamela Miller ( Pamelaa.miller@nhs.scot)Details on how to contact the Recruitment Service and the Recruitment Process:
