PHE Design Engineer – Plumbing & Firefighting

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare

  detailed plumbing and firefighting system designs

  for commercial and residential buildings.
• Design and calculate

  water supply, drainage, sewerage, stormwater, firefighting, and irrigation systems

  in accordance with applicable codes (NBC, IS, NFPA).
• Prepare

  schematic drawings, detailed layouts, and shop drawings

  using AutoCAD/Revit MEP.
• Perform

  hydraulic calculations

  for water supply, drainage, and firefighting systems.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other MEP disciplines to ensure

  integrated design solutions

• Review and ensure compliance of designs with

  local regulations, standards, and client specifications

  .
• Support site team for

  design clarifications and as-built documentation

  .
• Participate in

  client meetings and design reviews

  to present solutions and address queries.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in

  Mechanical or Civil Engineering

  (specialization in PHE/MEP preferred).
• Minimum

  37 years of experience

  in plumbing and firefighting system design for commercial/residential projects.
• Proficiency in

  AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and hydraulic calculation software

  (e.g., EPANET, XP-SWMM).
• Strong knowledge of

  building codes, fire safety standards, and plumbing standards

  (IS, NBC, NFPA, local municipal codes).
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
• Good problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in

  large-scale projects

  like hospitals, schools, colleges, and villas.
• Knowledge of

  sustainable and green building practices

  (LEED, IGBC, GRIHA).
• Familiarity with

  BIM coordination

  and multidisciplinary MEP modeling.
