Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a PhD in Mechanics of Materials at the Indian Institute of Technology Ropar, located in Punjab, India. The chosen candidate will be responsible for conducting research in the field of mechanics of materials, supervising undergraduate and graduate students, publishing research findings in reputable journals, and collaborating with other researchers and industry partners. The candidate will also participate in the institute's teaching activities and contribute to curriculum development.

Qualifications

• Strong background in Mechanics of Materials and related areas of research
• Proficiency in experimental, analytical, and computational methods
• Experience in supervising and mentoring students
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a research environment
• Proven track record of publishing high-quality research papers in reputable journals
• PhD in Mechanics of Materials, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• Experience in collaboration with industry and other research institutions is a plus
