Pharmacy Assistant

• Patient and customer service: Greet customers and answer phones.
• Assist customers in person and over the phone, including helping with over-the-counter medications.
• Refer medication-related questions and clinical advice to the pharmacist.
• Prescription processing: Receive and process prescription orders. Type and print prescription labels accurately.
• Help with the dispensing process under the supervision of a pharmacist.
• Inventory and stock management: Maintain and monitor inventory levels, including checking for expired medications.
• Receive, unpack, and stock new deliveries.
• Ensure shelves are organized and fully stocked.
• Administrative and operational tasks: Perform data entry and maintain patient records.
• Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register.
• Process insurance claims and manage related paperwork.
