Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate PGT English teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive English curriculum that fosters critical thinking, creativity, and literacy skills among students. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as a commitment to mentoring and supporting students in their academic journey.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and promote student learning.
• Utilize various teaching methodologies, including instructional design and learning technology, to enhance classroom experiences.
• Foster a positive learning environment through effective classroom management and behavior management strategies.
• Assess student progress through standardized testing, tutoring, and individualized feedback.
• Provide mentorship and academic advising to students, helping them navigate their educational paths.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, including the integration of creative writing and journalism components.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and participation in library services or special education programs as needed.
• Engage in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in literacy education and higher education teaching.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Experience working with students in a classroom setting, preferably in private schools or Montessori environments.
• Strong writing skills with proficiency in AP style, Chicago Manual of Style, copy editing, proofreading, and research methodologies.
• Familiarity with linguistics and literacy education principles is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage classrooms and support diverse learning needs through differentiated instruction.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Strong organizational skills for lesson planning, curriculum development, and administration tasks related to education management.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
