PGT Biology

PGT – Biology will be responsible for teaching Biology to students of Classes 9 to 12 in line with the CBSE curriculum. The role includes planning and delivering engaging lessons, preparing students for board and competitive exams, managing practical sessions, and contributing to the academic and scientific development of students.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Academic Instruction

• Deliver Biology lessons for Classes 9 to 12 in accordance with CBSE guidelines and NCERT content.
• Develop lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments aligned with curriculum standards.
• Employ innovative, student-centered teaching strategies to promote conceptual understanding.

2. Laboratory & Practical Work

• Conduct and supervise practical classes and experiments in accordance with CBSE norms.
• Ensure safety, maintenance, and proper usage of laboratory equipment and materials.
• Train students for practical exams and ensure proper documentation of lab work.

3. Assessment & Evaluation

• Design and administer class tests, projects, and examinations for both internal assessments and board preparation.
• Evaluate student performance and maintain accurate academic records.
• Provide timely feedback and guidance to students for academic improvement.

4. Exam Preparation

• Prepare students for CBSE board exams (Classes 10 & 12) and guide them through structured revision plans.

5. Student Mentorship

• Identify and support students with varying academic needs through remedial or enrichment classes.
• Motivate students to participate in Olympiads, science fairs, environmental campaigns, and biology-related competitions.

6. Classroom & Behavior Management

• Maintain discipline and a conducive learning environment.
• Promote ethical, responsible, and scientific attitudes among students.

7. Collaboration & Professional Development

• Participate in departmental planning, school events, staff meetings, and CBSE workshops.
• Collaborate with peers for interdisciplinary projects and initiatives.
• Stay updated with curriculum changes, pedagogy trends, and subject advancements.

8. Administrative Duties

• Maintain lesson plans, student portfolios, attendance, and other academic records.
• Fulfill duties related to examination invigilation, evaluation, and school programs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
