Performance Testing Analyst

As a Performance Testing Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of SAP applications, specifically focusing on S/4 HANA implementations. Your responsibilities will include: - Performing performance testing on SAP applications and analyzing the results to drive improvements. - Contribute to the successful implementation of S/4 HANA by focusing on the performance aspects of the system. - Writing and maintaining scripts and tools using programming languages like Python, Perl, ABAP, Java, and C++ to aid in performance analysis. - Tuning databases and optimizing SQL queries to ensure high performance in both production and testing environments. - Understanding and analyzing performance requirements from stakeholders and identifying critical business scenarios and performance benchmarks. - Selecting appropriate performance testing tools such as LoadRunner and Neoload and designing test scripts for various testing types. - Coordinating with DevOps/IT to prepare the performance testing environment and ensuring system configurations and monitoring tools are in place. - Executing performance test scenarios based on the test plan and monitoring system behavior during execution. - Analyzing test results to identify performance issues and system bottlenecks and collaborating with developers, DBAs, and architects for performance tuning. - Creating detailed performance test reports with findings, insights, and recommendations and presenting results to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner. - Working closely with development teams, DevOps, and business analysts, advocating for performance best practices across the team. - Participating in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and planning sessions and suggesting and implementing improvements for performance and scalability. - Staying updated with the latest tools, trends, and best practices in performance testing. Qualifications required for this role include: - Minimum of 5 years of proven hands-on experience in performance engineering, with specific exposure to SAP systems. - Strong experience in performance testing of SAP applications, particularly in S/4 HANA Brownfield implementations. - Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Perl, ABAP, Java, and C++. - Expertise in performance testing tools like LoadRunner, SoapUI, Postman, and Neoload. - Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis, visualization, performance evaluation, and root cause analysis. - In-depth knowledge of performance-tuning SQL queries and application performance monitoring tools like Dynatrace and AppDynamics. - Skills in using profiling tools to efficiently identify performance bottlenecks and extensive hands-on experience with JVM tuning techniques.
