Performance Test Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Analyze non-functional requirements (NFRs) and define performance objectives such as SLAs, response times, and throughput.
• Design and implement performance testing strategies covering load, stress, spike, endurance, volume, and scalability scenarios.
• Develop and execute test scripts using tools like Apache JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling to simulate real-world user behavior.
• Monitor and analyze key system metrics (CPU, memory, network, database, latency, and throughput) to identify performance issues.
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to optimize application and database performance.
• Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines and automate regression performance tests for continuous validation.
• Generate detailed performance reports, highlighting findings, risks, and optimization recommendations for stakeholders.
• Manage test environments, data, and schedules to align with overall project timelines and delivery goals.

Skills Required:

• Strong experience in performance testing and analysis across web and enterprise applications.
• Hands-on expertise in JMeter, LoadRunner, or equivalent tools.
• Solid understanding of application architecture, networking, and database performance tuning.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) and scripting languages for automation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
