Description
As a Performance Test Architect / Technical Consultant at August Infotech, your role involves the following responsibilities and qualifications: Role Overview: - Responsible for defining appropriate test strategies and approaches based on the delivery approach and strategic initiatives - Implementing performance vision for the testing function - Delivering projects in the performance testing space efficiently - Defining testing methodologies and implementing tooling best practices for continuous improvement - Understanding business scenarios deeply to define workload modeling for different scenarios - Providing inputs to the architecture community for optimization - Managing testing for highly integrated systems with multiple dependencies - Defining metrics, practices, processes, reports, and tools for effective delivery management - Managing competency in the testing practice - Stakeholder management and knowledge management - Improving test levels and ensuring adherence to testing standards, processes, and methodologies - Maintaining a detailed functional understanding of key business systems and future developments Key Responsibilities: - Define appropriate test strategies and approaches - Implement performance vision for the testing function - Deliver projects efficiently in the performance testing space - Define testing methodologies and implement tooling best practices - Define workload modeling for different scenarios - Provide inputs for optimization to the architecture community - Manage testing for highly integrated systems - Define metrics, practices, processes, reports, and tools for effective delivery management - Manage competency in the testing practice - Improve test levels and ensure adherence to testing standards Qualifications Required: - B.E./B.Tech. or M.C.A. from a reputed University - 10+ years of hands-on experience in performance testing, analyzing application performance, and performance engineering - Hands-on experience with HP Loadrunner (preferred), JMeter - Experience handling large testing teams in Shared Service and Productized teams - Knowledge of monitoring, profiling, and tuning tools such as CA Wily, HP Diagnostics, New Relic, etc. - Ability to analyze performance test results accurately and present them in technical and business language - Good knowledge of Websphere, J2EE technology, thread dump analysis, heap dump analysis, and AWR reports - Strong knowledge and working experience in Capital Markets and Fund management - Knowledge of Agile software development life-cycle methodologies - Exposure to testing tools such as ALM, Quality Center, Selenium, QTP, Jira - Ability to do POCs and build custom utilities - Experience of working with multi-cultural and geographically disparate teams - HP LoadRunner, ISEB/ISTQB certification or equivalent - Exposure to testing mobile applications - Experience in performance tuning Company Details: August Infotech is an IT/Computers-Software company.
