As a Senior Performance Testing Engineer at Evernorth, you will play a crucial role in conducting performance testing and establishing a performance engineering strategy for software programs. Your responsibilities will include architecting, designing, and implementing test performance testing frameworks, analyzing application architecture and production workload for workload modeling, developing and maintaining performance test scripts, collaborating with the Data team to define test data conditions, actively engaging in defect reporting and triaging, creating data portability functions, documenting software problems, recommending strategies to improve test plans and test processes, and maintaining organized records of test results. You will work closely with key Technology Services teams and business functions to ensure that initiatives are aligned with business and technical needs, well managed, delivered on time, and within budget with the required functionality. Additionally, you will promote industry best practices such as shift left modularize/real-time methods and foster a metrics-driven team approach. To be successful in this role, you should have 4-5 years of Performance Testing Experience, the ability to plan Performance Test strategy for complex systems, make quick decisions related to test environment readiness and results analysis, understand system architecture to target LOAD tests, perform workload modeling, monitor PROD for infrastructure utilization, guide team members with industry best practices, and have experience with tools like NeoLoad, Azure cloud, Web services testing, UI & API testing, and Continuous Integration systems (e.g., Azure, Jenkins, Travis, GitLab). A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent, along with at least 4-5 years of experience in performance testing, is required for this position. While not mandatory, familiarity with Kafka Confluent/Server-side Monitoring and neo4j skills will be beneficial. Additional knowledge in other Performance Test Tools like Stress Stimulus is considered a plus. Proficiency in tools and technologies such as Data Base, Soap UI, JMeter, ADO Test Management Tools, Basic SQL/Oracle, PostGre, and programming languages like JAVA and C as secondary skills are preferred.
